Cinewave - Ticket to Paradise

A wave of movie emotions at Grado Pineta

At 9.30 p.m.

Are you ready for a summer of cinema under the stars? Get ready to immerse yourself in a unique experience of open-air screenings by Cinemazero, thanks to the review "Cinewave: a wave of movie emotions in Grado Pineta"! One Friday evening a month (28 June, 19 July, 16 August and 13 September), the beach of Grado Pineta will light up with stories and adventures for young and old, with the background of the waves of the sea, at the "Costa del Sol" bathing establishment.

Our selection of films is designed to take you on exciting journeys, linked by the theme of "holidays": From the eccentric and colourful atmospheres of Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel", to the enchanted and magical world of "Luca", the animated film signed by Enrico Casarosa; the journey will then continue with "Ticket to Paradise" by Ol Parker, a romantic adventure that will take you to tropical paradises, and will end with "Mrs Harris Goes to Paris" by Anthony Fabian, a delightful comedy with a brilliant script and tasty humour.

A few info about today's film...

"Ticket to Paradise" tells the story of Georgia and David, a couple who loved each other many years before but who are now separated, with her in Los Angeles and him in Chicago. The two meet up to celebrate the graduation of their daughter Lily, who is flying to Bali for a reward holiday. However, the trip takes an unexpected turn when they discover that Lily intends to marry Gede, a Balinese seaweed farmer. The former couple then decide to boycott the wedding to prevent their daughter from making the same mistake as them. However, while trying to sabotage the wedding, Georgia and David grow closer and rediscover their feelings for each other. Their love story takes place in a paradisiacal setting, but they have to face the challenges of the past and complications of the present, including the interference of a charming French pilot who questions their rapprochement process. Together, Georgia and David overcome the difficulties and realise that their love is still alive and vibrant.

The event is free of charge but the number of headsets for multilingual viewing in Italian, German and English is limited (200 pieces) so to attend you must book online at Eventbrite, write to experience@grado.it or call +39 0431 80383.
