At the main beach, managed by the GIT, four-legged friends find the best hospitality, too. The “Lido di Fido” beach was designed and created in consideration of the perfect harmony between pets and their faithful masters. Animals can swim, play and rest in the spacious, comfortable area located between the pay and the free beach.
There are about fifty umbrellas, a hundred cots for dogs, food dishes, a tree-lined area for access to the sea, dog toilets, showers and ample parking. There are also 6 ranches on the sand (60 sq.m. pens) where your faithful friends can run freely, though under control. The area was created by the GIT based on the experience of professionals in the sector, with the aim of providing a complete service to allow 4-legged friends and their owners to enjoy a real holiday. Behind the beach is a shaded walking area.
The Lido di Fido is located at entrance number 8 (Viale del Sole) for the GIT Main Beach. It has received excellent reviews by a national and international public that appreciates the services and hospitality reserved for their 4-legged friends. Lido di Fido is an increasingly popular section of the beach, for a seaside holiday with a faithful friend. The GIT has also established a collaborative synergy with the UNCIS (Nautical Dog Support Unit ONLUS) with a schedule of interesting activities (especially on weekends): Let’s play with agility, Morning walk with dogs, Scenting on the beach, Aquatic readiness and a gentle approach to water, conferences on health problems and first aid at the beach, first approaches and rescue demonstration in the water reserved for children at the beach. There are also meetings related to the “ask the trainer” topics, together with a veterinarian. There are also moments of active fun, such as Al Lido ti sfido (I Challenge You at the Beach) and the well-loved Sea Rescue Exhibition.
