Events and tours

Every day, except Mondays, from 1 June to 31 August 2022, experience the thrill of visiting Trieste or Lignano Sabbiadoro starting from Grado, crossing the Gulf of Trieste or the Lagoon of Grado and Marano, thanks to the maritime services run by TPL FVG and APT Gorizia. 

• GRADO - TRIESTE:

Departure from Grado (Molo Torpediniere) 10.00; 14.45; 19.30. Arrival in Trieste (Molo Audace) 11.30; 16.15; 21.00

Departure from Trieste (Molo Audace) for return 13.00; 17.45. Arrival in Grado (Molo Torpediniere) 14.30; 19.15

Tickets can be purchased on board the motorship and at all Core TPL FVG ticket offices. The single journey ticket can also be purchased from the TPL FVG app. If you have a FVG card you are entitled to a round trip (with a child under 12) to be made on the same day. It is possible to travel with your own bicycle in tow (no more than one bicycle per passenger) within the limits of available space and at the discretion of the captain. It is advisable to enquire in advance about the availability of the service, particularly during peak times and at weekends. To transport a bicycle you must purchase a special ticket; you can purchase tickets on board the motor vessel, and at all Core TPL FVG ticket offices. 

Once in Trieste, if you are on a bicycle, you can follow one of our bicycle routes: CULTURAL or NATURALISTIC.

Alternatively, you can go to the InfoPoint in Piazza Unità d'Italia and ask for information material on Trieste; you can book a guided tour (minimum 2 people) or you can use the convenient HopTour bus service to discover the city's places of interest and attractions. Audio guides synchronised with the route will provide you with information and curiosities. The tour starts from the Rive, at the Molo Audace, in front of Piazza Unità, and after reaching the San Giusto hill it reaches the wonderful Miramare Castle and Park. Discounts for FVG Card holders.

Once you arrive in Lignano, if you are on a bicycle you can also make different tours towards Bibione or Marano Lagunare; for the most trained it is possible to return to Grado by bicycle --> here the GPX track.

For families with children, you can visit several theme parks

To discover the Lagoon you can take a motorboat trip to Porto Buso with the Motonave Nuova Cristina or go to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the island of Barbana with the Motoscafisti Gradesi regular service. You can spend a pleasant day in the company of friends renting a boat and enjoying the beautiful waters and wild nature of the Banco d'Orio, or you can be accompanied by Taxi Boat or NCC between the casoni and mote...

GRADO - BARBANA LINE SERVICE
The Island of Barbana, in the middle of the lagoon of Grado, is home to a Franciscan monastery (now presided over by Benedictine monks) dating back 1400 years ago; a place of devotion and destination for many pilgrims.

The price of the return ticket is euro 8,00 for adults and euro 4,00 for children from 3 to 10 years old. Baby for free!  The island can be reached in about 25 minutes by boat.

The excursion is accompanied by an authorized guide. A visit to a fishing valley and a stop at the island of Barbana are planned. The price is euro 16,00 for adults and euro 9,00 for children from 4 to 12 years old. Baby Free!
