The Lapidary of the Basilica of Santa Eufemia di Grado is located in a small but very suggestive space, adjacent to the Cathedral itself. Here you can see hundreds of sculptural fragments and epigraphs found in the Grado castrum.
The most consistent nucleus refers to the early Christian and early medieval period (IV - IX century AD), but it is also possible to admire fine examples of classical Roman sculpture, such as the two magnificent figured sarcophagus fronts (early III century AD) and a remarkable portrait of a magistrate on a stele (beginning of the 4th century AD).
