From 29 July to 5 August 2025 (9 p.m.), the 16th edition of the Aquileia Film Festival will kick off: cinema, archaeology and experts will take turns over six evenings (29-30-31 July and 1-4-5 August) in a programme packed with events in Piazza Capitolo. The international archaeological film festival is organised by the Aquileia Foundation with Archeologia Viva and Firenze Archeofilm.

The audience will be asked to vote for the winner of the Aquileia Prize, a mosaic created by the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, which will be awarded on the evening of Friday 1 August. The films in competition are chosen from among the best international productions on archaeological and historical themes.
All films at the Aquileia Film Festival have subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing and audio description for the blind and visually impaired. Audio description is available through the free EARCATCH app, available for both Android and iOS. Conversations will be accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing thanks to dedicated transcription.
