Throughout July, the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology of the Upper Adriatic invites the public to enjoy a special experience with a series of special evening openings.
The initiative, entitled “For those who sail by the Pleiades…”, draws inspiration from ancient astronomical navigation: just as Odysseus, who during his long journey home to Ithaca learnt to find his way by observing the stars, visitors too will be able to explore the museum on these enchanting summer evenings.
The special evening openings will take place from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm (last admission at 10.30 pm) on the following dates:
Thursday 2 July
Thursday 9 July
Thursday 16 July
Thursday 23 July
Thursday 30 July
Friday 31 July
The final event, Friday 31 July, will be enhanced by a special event organised as part of the Festival Musica Cortese 2026 – Saints, Poets and Navigators.
The programme includes:
8.30 pm – Discover Iulia Felix, a guided tour of the museum’s exhibition;
9.30 pm – Logbook, a concert by the Ensemble De Vulgari.
Participation in these events is included in the price of the museum admission ticket. Booking is required.
