From 13 July to 31 August 2025, every Sunday and on the 15th of August, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the municipal administration will introduce a closure to traffic in the town centre, with the activation of the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL).
The measure has been adopted to protect the safety of citizens and visitors, while reducing the environmental impact of vehicle traffic during periods of high tourist traffic. The aim is to limit the inconvenience and risks associated with road congestion, as well as to combat air and noise pollution.
The area affected by the closure is bounded by the following perimeter:
Piazza Carpaccio – Via Volta – Riva Z. Gregori – Riva Scaramuzza – Via Barbana – Via Venezia.
All these roads will remain open, while access to the city centre will be prohibited to all unauthorised vehicles.
For authorised vehicles, access to the city centre will only be permitted from the section of road in Piazza Carpaccio between the public transport station and Via Manzoni, with one-way traffic towards Via Manzoni, as an exception to the normal direction of travel.
Parking is available at the Sacca dei Moreri car park, from where a free shuttle service to the beaches will be available.
The closure times may be reduced or suspended at the discretion of the local police, depending on the availability of regular parking spaces or in the event of adverse weather conditions, subject to agreement with the Command.
