27 June and 1 July, at 9.00 pm.

The Festa di Avvenire returns to Grado for the fourth consecutive year, a regular fixture of the island's summer calendar, combining spirituality, culture and entertainment.

The evocative setting of the Campo Patriarca Elia, in front of the Basilica of Santa Eufemia, will host two evenings with free admission dedicated to current and engaging topics.

The first meeting on 27 June will feature Don Alberto Ravagnani in conversation with Matteo Liut, journalist for the Milanese daily newspaper, to talk about faith in the digital age and how technological challenges can be transformed into opportunities for evangelisation and authentic encounter.

The celebration on Tuesday, 1 July, will feature maestro Peppe Vessicchio: “Più papaveri che papere” (More poppies than blunders) is the title of the dialogue between him and Avvenire journalist Massimiliano Castellani.

A constant presence on the podium as conductor of the Sanremo Festival Orchestra for over thirty years, baton in hand, hypnotising the audience at the Ariston Theatre, accompanying the Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel (with Sentimento, 2000), Alexia (Per dire di no, 2003), Valerio Scanu (Per tutte le volte, 2010) and Roberto Vecchioni (Chiamami ancora amore, 2012). A Neapolitan philosopher of music, born in 1956, he began his career in cabaret with the “Tre tre”, which he describes as “a brief experience, but one that allowed a ‘stockfish’ like me in my early days to learn the tricks of the stage and the value of a smile, which should never be missing in life”. He went on to pop music and, in the midst of his vast artistic and concert career, soundtracks, classical composition and even chamber music, such as Tarantina, which was recently performed by the Soloists of La Scala in Milan.

It will be a moment of entertainment and passionate history, with plenty of unpublished stories.

The presence of Avvenire in Grado for the fourth consecutive year confirms once again the importance for the newspaper of being present in the territories, involving the faithful in moments that invite us to reflect and at the same time to be together, in community.
