The Grado No-Draft Olympic Triathlon returns as the highlight of the sporting summer with an event that blends competition, spectacle and the local area, inviting athletes and enthusiasts to experience Grado in a dynamic and engaging way.
The race will take place on Saturday 29 August 2026, starting and finishing at the Parco delle Rose, the heart of the event and a focal point for athletes and spectators alike.
Organised by ASD ReAction and included in the official calendar of the Italian Triathlon Federation, the event features a Silver no-draft Olympic distance, comprising three stages:
1.5 km swim in the sea off Grado
38 km of cycling on a flat route
10 km of running along the seafront
The course fully showcases the destination’s characteristics: the swim takes place in a picturesque stretch of sea, the cycling leg follows a completely flat route, and the run unfolds along the coast, offering unique views of the sea and sky.
The event is open to FITri-registered athletes and features comprehensive organisation with dedicated services: a fully equipped transition area, medical assistance, refreshment points along the route and a finish area at the Parco delle Rose arena, where the awards ceremony will also take place.
The programme spans two days:
Friday 28 August: registration opens and athlete welcome
Saturday 29 August: race, post-race refreshments and awards ceremony
The Grado Olympic Triathlon is a major event on the regional sporting calendar, attracting participants from all over Italy and offering the public a thrilling spectacle, where sport and landscape merge into a unique experience.
