Wednesday 25 November – 8.45 pm
Performed in Italian
Narrated by Simone Colombari and Max Paiella, the show weaves together songs, encounters and stories, painting a portrait of an artist capable of depicting Italy with irony, tenderness and depth. From early tracks such as El purtava i scarp del tennis to his most popular hits such as Vengo anch’io no tu no, the narrative is interwoven with the key encounters of his career: Adriano Celentano, Giorgio Gaber and Dario Fo, right through to the ‘surroundings’ comprising Cochi and Renato, Paolo Conte, Beppe Viola and Sandro Ciotti. Through words and music, the stories of ordinary men and women emerge, told with that only apparent lightness that made Jannacci a unique artist, capable of moving between comedy and tragedy without compromise. A minimalist yet intense narrative, in which memory, song and storytelling merge into a living, shared tribute.
