#PAPERBEACH26 returns to Grado: eight literary events at sunset exploring culture, the local area and podcasting.

The Book Experience festival brings July and August to life at the Piper Beach resort on Grado’s Costa Azzurra beach.

A new edition of #PAPERBEACH26, the Book Experience cultural festival, is scheduled for July and August 2026. Eight events dedicated to literary dialogue and promoting the local area.

In the event of bad weather, the events will be held at the Ubik bookshop on Viale Europa Unita in Grado.

The literary programme of #PAPERBEACH26 brings together leading national authors and voices from the publishing house Espressioni di Marca Aperta, a publishing house deeply rooted in the local area.

PROGRAMME:

  • Wednesday 1 July

The festival will be opened by the ‘curious chef’ with millions of followers, Luca Pappagallo, who will present his book La magia dei sapori di casa (Vallardi), followed by an unmissable show cooking session in which Pappagallo will team up with another heavyweight of the grill and meat scene, Fabrizio Nonis, El Bekér. The two culinary masters will be in conversation with Christian Zerbola.

In the event of bad weather, this date only will be held at the Piano Bar of the Grand Hotel Astoria.

  • Wednesday 8 July

The following Wednesday, July 8th, the floor will be given to Antonella Fiaschi and her book Prima Pagina (Gaspari Editore), interviewed by artistic director Mario Fontana.

  • Wednesday 15 July

The focus will shift to classic crime fiction with Alessio Baù, author of L’enigma delle lancette’ (Ed. Marca Aperta), who will discuss his work alongside artistic director Mario Fontana.

  • Wednesday 22 July

Thrillers and mysteries take centre stage: the writer Pierluigi Porazzi will present Il re delle fate d’autunno’ (Ugo Mursia Editore), interviewed by Marco Giovanetti.

  • Wednesday 29 July

Marco Giovanetti will give a preview of his new noir La stanza di Sarah’ (Ed. Marca Aperta), interviewed by the journalist Elisa Michellut.

  • Wednesday 5 August

Straight from London, Antonio Biggio, in conversation with Marco Giovanetti, will present his L’enigma dei tre Eddie’ (Ed. Spirito Libero), a fast-paced thriller featuring the members of the band Iron Maiden.

  • Wednesday 12 August

A special moment of collaboration between adults and children: Claudia Pasini will present Colouring Santa Claus’ (Ed. Marca Aperta); an event brought to life by the book’s eight Christmas stories, where the little ones will be directly immersed in a world of fantasy thanks to the active participation of Luisa Venier, the fairy-tale lady.

  • Wednesday 26 August

Featuring: ‘Spies in the lagoon’: Cristiano Meneghel will delve into his historical and literary discussions on Grado and the surrounding area alongside Marco Giovanetti; they will talk about spies and various historical figures from the lagoon.

All events will be streamed live by WebradioLevi, the web radio station of the Primo Levi Upper Secondary School in Montebelluna (TV). The student-run station will also record the content to be released as podcasts throughout the coming academic year.
