Venue: ex Cinema Cristallo, Viale Dante Alighieri, 74 - Grado
From 2 to 23 August 2026, the exhibition spaces of the former Cristallo Cinema in Grado will host an exhibition by the Corrente d’Arte Alternata group, organised in collaboration with the CIRT APS – International Centre for Textile Research association.
The opening is scheduled for Sunday 2 August at 11.30 am in the foyer and display windows of the former Cristallo Cinema, at Viale Dante Alighieri 74.
The collective Corrente d’Arte Alternata was formed when seven artists – Giusi Baldissera, Marina Bonifacio, Bruna Manzini, Lucia Marchiol, Petra Slovackova, Katia Tami and Paola Zaninotti – met at the “G. B. Tiepolo” Academy of Fine Arts in Udine and went on to create a shared artistic project.
Although they come from different backgrounds and have followed distinct exhibition paths, the painters have chosen to combine their artistic sensibilities within a dynamic group, characterised by an interweaving of constantly evolving artistic languages, styles and techniques. The name “Corrente d’Arte Alternata” evokes precisely this creative energy and the desire to convey, through colour, impressions inspired by the history, traditions and identity of a borderland.
The artists’ aim is to transform art into an opportunity for dialogue, sharing and cultural enrichment, engaging the public in an experience that combines emotion and reflection. The seven painters have taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions, maintaining a busy exhibition schedule.
