The Aquileia Archaeological Group and the Municipality of Grado present the exhibition ‘Great Patriarchate – The Patriarchate of Grado between Aquileia and Venice’, a journey through centuries of history, art and spirituality.
The exhibition offers an itinerary that starts at the end of Antiquity and ends in the age of the Dolfin, retracing the extraordinary evolution of the Patriarchate of Grado, at the crossroads between religion, politics, architecture and art. A fascinating insight into the conception of sacred and civil spaces in a strategic territory for the balance between East and West.
