On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Municipality of Grado is once again offering a programme of free events under the title Waves of Freedom: Grado against violence, scheduled from 23 to 30 November.

23 November 2025 – 8 p.m. – Biagio Marin Auditorium
Come un fiore raro (Like a rare flower) – Theatre show by Davide Giandrini dedicated to the life and art of Mia Martini.
24 November 2025 – 6 p.m. – Biagio Marin Auditorium
Basaglia ma… – Theatre show by “La Signora delle Fiabe” on the theme of institutional violence and the fragility of vulnerable individuals. The event will be introduced by a debate with Prof. Rita Manzara (University of Trieste), Dr Marco Giovanetti (writer) and Dr Franco Perazza (former director of the Mental Health Centre in Gorizia).
25 November 2025 – Aula Magna I.C. Marco Polo
Silence does not rhyme with consent – Workshop for students on education about informed consent and the prevention of gender-based violence, with a particular focus on the younger generation. Organised by the Anti-Violence Centre in Grado.
29 November 2025 – 6 p.m. – Biagio Marin Auditorium
Equality and gender-based violence: towards a new awareness – Conference led by the “Don't call me signorina” team and the Grado Anti-Violence Centre, offering linguistic, cultural, legal and educational reflections on the topic. A form is available to fill in; the results will be shared during the meeting (link: urly.it/31c_n6).

The role, responsibility and commitment of men in combating violence against women – Conference by writer and journalist Giulia Blasi.

Mindfulness practices – Free event with compulsory booking, organised by SSD Gym Project a R.L. and More Event, combining physical activity and art installations with the aim of developing physical and emotional awareness and boosting self-esteem.
5 p.m. – Buda Dancevich Gym, Via Fiume
Gender respect in sport – Presentation by SSD Gym Project a R.L., dedicated to sport as an educational tool in combating gender-based violence.
8 p.m. – Biagio Marin Auditorium
Encyclopaedia of the perfect woman – Theatre show by and with Stefania Carlesso and Evarossella Biolo, which takes a critical look at the female stereotypes of the past that are still present in contemporary society.
