118 years after its debut at the Theater An der Wien in Vienna in 1905, the show recounts in concert-stage form the world's most famous Operetta, which revolves around the love affair of the wealthy heiress Hanna Glawary and her eternal beau, Count Dànilo Danilowitsch. A romantic tale not without humorous moments sealed by the extraordinary music of the great Maestro Franz Lehár. The proposed staging features the operetta's main characters, who will take the audience inside the plot: we are at the Pôte d'Embassy in Paris to celebrate the sovereign's birthday. The Balkan country is in dire economic straits and everyone awaits the arrival of the rich widow Glavary, to restore the fortunes of finance. At the party, the vices and virtues of the courtiers are highlighted, reflecting the decadence of the aristocratic world. Everyone is prepared to make any compromise in order to gain advantage from the rich heiress. Couples' intrigues, nocturnal Paris, cheerful damsels, frivolous ones and foolish men, a humanity that ultimately amuses. All washed down with champagne and enlivened by the crackling can-can. Happy, predictable end.
