Venue: Biblioteca civica “Falco Marin”
On Thursday 16 April 2026, at 5.00 pm, the “Falco Marin” Public Library in Grado will host the presentation of the book “Grado: A Seaside Resort. Urban Planning and Architecture” by Massimo De Grassi, an in-depth study dedicated to the urban and architectural evolution of the island.
Through a historical and cultural journey, the author recounts how, from the late 19th century onwards, Grado transformed into a renowned seaside resort and summer retreat for the Austrian bourgeoisie. A change that profoundly influenced the development of the lagoon town, helping to define its identity and the character that still defines it today.
During the event, the author will be in conversation with Marino De Grassi, offering the public the opportunity to explore the themes of the book in greater depth and gain an insight into the dynamics that have driven Grado’s growth as a tourist destination.
The event is free to attend and open to all members of the public.
