Gury is a child found lost in a forest and taken in by a village that hides ancient secrets and ambiguous figures. As he grows up, he learns the art of cooking, but also how to recognise the pitfalls hidden behind false smiles and empty promises. He thus discovers that he is not just any orphan, but the centre of a conspiracy woven in the shadows by those who desire power. Banished from the village, Gury faces dangers and deceit orchestrated by mischievous creatures and ruthless adversaries. However, he finds allies in a loyal friend, a wise old man and the mysterious entities that inhabit the woods. His culinary skills become the key to survival and the means to leave his mark on the world, while magic intertwines with Friulian gastronomic traditions. A journey through forgotten legends and shocking revelations, leading up to a surprising final revelation.
