Among the most eagerly awaited events of Grado’s cultural summer, as part of the Musica a 4 stelle festival, the concert by the renowned violinist Stefan Milenkovich undoubtedly stands out. It is scheduled for Thursday 16 July 2026 in the evocative setting of the Basilica of Saint Euphemia.
Accompanied by pianist Natalija Mladenović, Milenkovich will present a programme of extraordinary virtuosity spanning some of the most fascinating works in the violin repertoire, from Eugène Ysaÿe to Niccolò Paganini.
Regarded as one of the greatest violinists of his generation, Stefan Milenkovich is a leading figure on the international music scene. A child prodigy, he has performed from a very young age in the world’s most prestigious theatres and before figures who have shaped contemporary history. Pope John Paul II appointed him Ambassador of Peace for his social commitment, whilst Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev invited him, still a child, to the United Nations for a historic event dedicated to peace in the Balkans.
Milenkovich’s presence in Grado has now become a cherished tradition, fostered by the bond of friendship that unites him with artistic director Giorgio Tortora and by the affection the violinist holds for the island, which over the years has welcomed and appreciated him on numerous occasions.
The event on 16 July therefore promises to be one of the most important musical events of summer 2026, capable of attracting enthusiasts and connoisseurs from all over Italy and abroad.
Free admission subject to availability.
