On the occasion of the celebrations for the centenary of the Coronation of Our Lady of Barbana, a guided tour of the Sanctuary and the Convent chapel, where the Crown of Our Lady can be admired exclusively. The visit will be conducted by the Benedictine monks of the Sanctuary who reside on the Island of Barbana.
Programme:
Meeting point: at 8.45 a.m. in Riva Sebastiano Scaramuzza 6 in Grado.
- arrival at 10 a.m. on the Island and welcome inside the Convent, the "Domus Mariae" by the Benedictine Friars and Mons. Armando Zorzin;
- lecture on the history of the Benedictine Order, Our Lady of Barbana and the Sanctuary;
- visit to the Chapel of the Crowned Madonna where the Crown and the 13th century statue are kept;
- visit to the Sanctuary and conclusion at around 12:30 pm. The return trip can be made independently on one of the afternoon ferry trips to Grado.
At the end of the visit you can return independently to Grado with one of the return trips and/or stop for a packed lunch or at the "Al Pellegrino" restaurant.
