Originally conceived as a ‘neighbourhood race’, the Vogadalonga di Grado is now a non-competitive 18 km rowing race that starts from the stretch of water in front of the Darsena Torpediniere, winds along the Litoranea Veneta and reaches Primero, before returning to the starting point.
The event, which is open to all, is organised by the Canottieri Ausonia rowing club and school and usually takes place on the last Sunday in October.
Over the years, the Vogadalonga has become a traditional and unmissable event for clubs affiliated with Federcanottaggio, Federcanoa, Venetian rowing and SUP (stand up paddle). Furthermore, as it is a non-competitive event, it also attracts numerous amateurs every year from neighbouring Austria and the Veneto region. Canottieri Ausonia provides equipment hire services.
Traditionally, the Vogadalonga takes place on the last Sunday in October.
