In 2025, Gente al Porto was born, the second store in an entrepreneurial story rooted in almost eighty years of work, passion and dedication to quality footwear. After the historic shop on Viale Europa Unita, the opening of the new space on the Mandracchio port in Grado marks an important step in the Milio family's journey, maintaining the values that have guided the business for three generations.

The story began 78 years ago with Antonio Milio, who travelled the roads of Friuli on a Guzzi motorbike and, later, with two large trucks adapted to participate in the markets of the main regional squares. It was a job that required sacrifice and tenacity, laying the foundations for a business that has become synonymous with quality and reliability over time. In 1970, the baton was passed to Giovanni Milio, who acquired the building where the historic shop is still located today, transforming it into a point of reference for a discerning and demanding clientele, thanks to a selection of high-quality footwear and accessories, with attention to design and materials. Until 2010, Giovanni passed on not only the experience he had gained over decades of work, but also a deep passion for the craft, which is still alive and present today in his valuable advice to staff and customers, who recognise him as a true master.

The present: tradition and a look to the future

Today, the Milio family continues to stand out for its ability to interpret fashion trends and the needs of an increasingly discerning clientele. The historic shop on Viale Europa Unita has maintained a fresh and contemporary spirit over time, thanks to a careful selection of Italian and international brands and an elegant assortment of men's and women's footwear that combines style, quality and attention to price.
