For three days (from 24 to 26 October 2025), the streets and squares of Grado's charming historic centre will become the stage for a new food and wine event: ‘Le Calli di Bacco’.

A journey through taste, identity and territory

Dishes that tell the story of the sea, glasses that tell the story of the vineyard, authentic emotions and flavours. Grado celebrates the flavours of the territory in an event that exudes identity. Restaurateurs will guide you on a tasting tour through the streets of the ancient city, discovering the catch of the week and the most typical flavours of the lagoon. Tasting tables, guided tastings, lectures: accompanying our guests will also be the wines and winemakers of the region.

An event spread throughout the heart of Grado: the calli and campielli of the historic centre will host guided tastings, tasting tables, show cooking, music and meetings with producers, winemakers and restaurateurs.

With a personalised glass, you can savour the region's great wines paired with traditional lagoon dishes in a charming and convivial atmosphere.

From Saturday 18 October, in participating restaurants: 3 courses, featuring the catch of the week €48 (drinks not included)

1. Al Timon Trattoria Pizzeria (Largo San Grisogono 6) hosts Lis Fadis, Spessa di Cividale. Cicchetto: crostino with red mullet in savor.

2. Bruno Masaneta Trattoria-Cicchetteria (Via Marina 12) hosts Castelvecchio, Sagrado. Cicchetto: Sea bass ceviche.

3. Trattoria Pizzeria Santa Lucia (Campo Porta Nuova 1/A) hosts Muzic, San Floriano del Collio. Cicchetto: Sea bass in savor with lavender honey.

4. Cardamomo (Calle Merlato 6) hosts Denis Montanar, Villa Vicentina. Cicchetto: Pan brioche with sea bass livers.

5. Ristorante Gardenia (Campo Porta Nuova 11) hosts Tenuta Baroni Del Mestri, Cormons. Cicchetto: polenta crostini with boreto de asià.

6. Ristorante Taverna al Canevon (Calle Corbatto 11) hosts Borgo S. Daniele, Cormons. Cicchetto: canapé with smoked swordfish, rocket and tartar sauce.

7. Trattoria de Toni (Piazza Duca D'Aosta 37) hosts Fiegl, San Floriano del Collio. Cicchetto: boreto di seppioline (smoked cuttlefish).

8. Duca d'Aosta Lounge Bar & Restaurant (Piazza Duca d'Aosta 24/26) hosts Villa Vasi, Gorizia. Cicchetto: Boreto rinchiuso, handmade ravioli stuffed with boreto, served with its reduction.

9. Ristorante Alla Pace (Piazza Duca d'Aosta 20) hosts Confinis Francesco Rotolo, Dolegnano. Cicchetto: canapé with smoked mullet.

10. La Caina Pizzeria Trattoria (Campo Santa Niceta 5) hosts Primosic, Oslavia-Gorizia. Cicchetto: crostone with caramelised arde.

11. Ristorante Alla Vecchia Marina (Calle Lunga 26) hosts I Feudi di Romans, San Canzian d’Isonzo. Cicchetto: delizia di baccalà.

12. Mandracchio Bistrot (Piazza Marinai d’Italia 10) hosts Canus, Corno di Rosazzo. Cicchetto: Mediterranean-style otragani on a bed of pan-fried chicory.

13. Bella Grado (Piazza Marinai d'Italia 5) hosts Sturm, Cormons. Cicchetto: breaded sardines.

Official opening of the event: Greetings from the authorities

Followed by

Ritual, gathering, shared flavours and stories: on the occasion of Le Calli di Bacco, the community of Grado invites everyone to participate in the Blessing of the Chef's Jackets and Fishing Nets. Chefs and fishermen invoke “goodness” upon their work, committing themselves to respecting and celebrating the gifts of the sea and the land. A evocative moment that encapsulates the essence of a maritime and gastronomic tradition that speaks of identity, sustainability and value, of the resources that the planet entrusts to us and of human labour: a unique experience for the community and for guests.

5 p.m. | Seafront dam – Town Hall

At sunset with Le Calli di Bacco: Exclusive tasting curated by sommelier Alojz Felix Jermann

An opportunity to discover original pairings, meet local protagonists and be captivated by the charm of a tasting at sunset by the sea.

The format:

  • 4 creative cicchetti created by 4 chefs from Le Calli di Bacco

  • 4 local wines to pair with them, presented directly by the participating producers

  • Tasting led by: Alojz Felix Jermann

  • Time: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

  • Price: €35

Saturday 25 October

9.30 a.m. | Outside the historic centre

Bicycle excursion, meeting point at the Caneo. In collaboration with Fish Very Good. Project to promote the local fish supply chain of the Local Development Plan of the GAC FVG. Departure by bike from the Caneo, passing through Punta Sdobba, Val Cavanata and Grado. Visit to the Primero casoni. Arrival in the centre, visit to the Grado Municipal Fish Market and Le Calli di Bacco aperitif. For those who wish: visit to the Museum of Small-scale Fishing and Lagoon Civilisation. Return to Caneo. Duration 4 hours. Compulsory insurance on site €5. Bike or e-bike rental available

Guided tour of the Museum of Fishing and Lagoon Civilisation with a walk through the fishing grounds. Guided tour of the museum dedicated to daily life, traditional fishing techniques developed in the Grado lagoon and the casonera civilisation, marked by a deep connection with nature. Followed by a visit to the fishing boat dock and a tour of Le Calli di Bacco. Duration: 2 hours. Info and booking: https://www.fishverygood.it/salone/

The Calli Tour: Are you eternally indecisive? Are you afraid of getting lost in the Calli, distracted by the scents of the lagoon and the notes of the saxophone? You can choose to be guided through this experience by our Ambassadors! Activity subject to reservation (also at the desk): participation cost – €30 (includes guided tour, glass and 8 tickets)

Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
