Grand Hotel Astoria

The Grand Hotel Astoria was built at the beginning of the 20th century, when Grado was the Habsburgers’ and Middle European aristocracy’s Summer resort, with the name of Hotel Lido.

The Hotel knew glory and smartness being the seat of the local casino.
It was completely rebuilt and reopened in 1991, continuing its role of hotel with style, quality and elegance, like an island in the island, for its completeness and quality of its services.

Tradition and modernity, this is the philosophy of this 4 stars Hotel.

Located 400 feet from the paleochristian basilica of Sant’Eufemia and 250 feet from the impressive lanes and squares of “Gravo Vecio” , exactly in the heart of the Grado Island.

Grand Hotel Astoria offers 124 cosy rooms, most of them on the sea side, among which there are different Junior Suites and some very elegant Suites.

The rooms, in classy elegant style are quiet and comfortable. On each floor there are duly equipped rooms dedicated to our disabled guests, offering a peaceful and relaxing holiday. All the rooms have variable speed air-conditioners, direct telephone, minibar, satellite TV, Wi-Fi system for Internet connection. Some of the rooms are used for staying in company of small size pets allowed during the reservation.

The main restaurant is located on the mezzanine. Here we welcome our half-board and full-board guests. A rich buffet of salads andantipasti along with home made pastries is available daily along with the chef’s selection.

Despite the classical restaurant, there is the exclusive “Settimo Cielo” panoramic restaurant located in the 7° floor, with an amazing view of the sea, the old town and the splendid lagoon, where you can taste the scent of the typical products creatively combined by our Chef.

The Pianobar is located in the ground floor of the Hotel, elegantly furnished to provide a relaxation environment for spending nice evenings with friends.

The new center at the I° floor covers a surfarce of more than 900 sq.m and it’s divided in two areas: the area dedicated to physiotherapy and rehabilitation and the Wellness & Beauty area.
We propose hydrothermal treatment cycles with medical care and highly specialized personnel. The center uses the theraupetic virtues of the sea water, with inhalations, Caracalla baths, butterfly bath, sea cave, panthermal, pools and also massages and beauty treatments.
