Known and appreciated since the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Marine Thermal Baths of Grado have built their reputation on thalassotherapy, a practice that makes targeted use of sea water and its beneficial properties. This therapeutic tradition, which has a cleansing, firming and rebalancing effect on the body, is still one of the pillars of the spa's offerings today. It is complemented by established treatments such as sandblasting, balneotherapy, ozone baths and heliotherapy.
The Marine Thermal Baths are now preparing for a reopening that marks a new chapter in their history: an innovative project that combines the tradition of thalassotherapy with the latest research in the field of longevity and prevention, giving rise to the GIT Wellness Longevity Experience.
SEA WATER HUB: THE NEW IDENTITY OF MARINE WELLNESS IN GRADO

The Sea Water Hub is an ecosystem in which sea water, iodine, sand, lagoon air and sun – the five natural elements of the island – are combined and enhanced in a scientific way to create wellness rituals, regenerative treatments and programmes linked to longevity.
This is where the historic Terme Marine di Grado, active since the 19th century, is located, where nature and science come together to transform the island's resources into unique therapeutic tools.

A NEW MODEL: THE ISLAND OF SUNSHINE AND GOOD LIVING
The aim of the new spa centre is to make Grado the first international destination recognised as the “Island of Sunshine and Good Living”, operating all year round. The central theme is longevity, understood as the ability to live longer while maintaining quality of life, vitality and psychophysical wellbeing.

The renovated Terme Marine di Grado will be the only facility in Italy capable of bringing together the following in a single destination:

1) Medical and Thermal Area
The spa remains active with a medical clinic and treatments for the whole family.
Treatments available: balneotherapy and other traditional therapies
Inhalation treatments: currently not operational; expected to be reactivated by March 2026
NHS ticket: from 1 August 2016, the fee is €55.00, as required by Law 208/2015
Thermal pool with heated sea water, which will reopen in December 2025.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 08.30 – 15.00 (closed on Sundays and public holidays).
2) Wellness Area / SPA (reserved for over 16s)
A refined and peaceful environment, designed to promote regeneration and relaxation through the combination of sea water, heat and scientific technologies.
