Self-organized day trip by boat to Trieste, Lignano Sabbiadoro and Aquileia

GRADO - TRIESTE
We would like to inform you that, due to the temporary unavailability of the motor ship, until further notice the maritime connection Trieste-Grado is carried out by the substitute bus service equipped with a bicycle transport trolley.
Departure from Trieste is from Riva 3 Novembre on the sea side - near Molo Audace.
Departure from Grado is from the Molo Torpediniere bus stop area.
Passengers departing from Trieste will be sold tickets once they arrive in Grado by the ground assistance staff, who will also be in charge of checking FVG CARDS.
Every day, except Mondays, from 01st May to 29th September 2024, experience the thrill of visiting Trieste starting from Grado, crossing the Gulf of Trieste thanks to the maritime services run by APT Gorizia and TPL FVG. Once in Trieste, if you are on a bicycle, you can follow one of our cycle routes: CULTURAL or NATURALISTIC. Alternatively, you can go to the InfoPoint in Piazza Unità d'Italia and ask for information material on Trieste; you can discover the town on foot or you can use the convenient HopTour bus service to discover the city's places of interest and attractions. Audio guides synchronised with the route will provide you with information and curiosities. The tour starts from the Rive, at the Molo Audace, in front of Piazza Unità, and after reaching the San Giusto hill it reaches the wonderful Miramare Castle and Park. Discounts for FVG Card holders.

GRADO - LIGNANO SABBIADORO
From 01st May to 29th September 2024, the ferry link that connects the two main seaside towns in Friuli Venezia Giulia returns, a journey between sea and land particularly suitable for lovers of two wheels, to cycle along cycle routes surrounded by nature, among castles and seaside hamlets. Once in Lignano, if you are on a bicycle, you can follow one of our bicycle itineraries: ITINERARIO URBANO DI LIGNANO SABBIADORO; ITINERARIO LIGNANO SABBIADORO - BIBIONE; ITINERARIO BOAT, BIKE AND TRAIN: LIGNANO - LATISANA. Or you can go by bike to Marano lagunare, take the boat to Lignano Sabbiadoro (9.00 a.m. / 11.00 a.m. / 2.00 p.m.) and at 4.45 p.m. return by boat to Grado ITINERARIO BIKE and BOAT: GRADO-MARANO-LIGNANO. GRADO - AQUILEIA
From 1st May to 29th September 2024, from Tuesday to Sunday, the maritime line Aquileia - Grado offers a boat excursion in the Grado Lagoon, a magical place rich in luxuriant vegetation, immersed in quiet and dotted with casoni, the characteristic old fishermen's dwellings. The boat is equipped with 25 stalls for transporting bicycles (subject to availability) and makes it possible to organise a cycling tour along the Alpe Adria Radweg cycle route and to discover the other cycle routes of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Coast. Tickets can be purchased on board the motorship and at all Core TPL FVG ticket offices. The single journey ticket can also be purchased from the TPL FVG app. If you have a FVG card you are entitled to a round trip (with a child under 12) to be made on the same day. It is possible to travel with your own bicycle in tow (no more than one bicycle per passenger) within the limits of available space and at the discretion of the captain. It is advisable to enquire in advance about the availability of the service, particularly during peak times and at weekends. To transport a bicycle you must purchase a special ticket; you can purchase tickets on board the motor vessel, and at all Core TPL FVG ticket offices.

An exclusive appointment with the renowned Professor Nimis, a leading figure in the field of botany and biodiversity.
During this meeting, we will have the unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of dichotomous keys and discover the revolutionary Dryades project.
Dichotomous keys are a crucial tool for botanists and nature enthusiasts, allowing the precise identification of plant species through a series of choices based on specific characteristics.
Professor Nimis will illustrate how to use these keys effectively, making plant identification an accessible activity for everyone.
In addition, the Dryades project will be presented, a pioneering initiative that aims to map plant biodiversity through the use of innovative technologies and community participation.
This project represents an invaluable resource for nature conservation and environmental education.
