GRADO - TRIESTE​

Every day, except Mondays, from 01^st May to 29^th September 2024, experience the thrill of visiting Trieste starting from Grado, crossing the Gulf of Trieste thanks to the maritime services run by APT Gorizia and TPL FVG. Once in Trieste, if you are on a bicycle, you can follow one of our cycle routes: CULTURAL or NATURALISTIC. Alternatively, you can go to the InfoPoint in Piazza Unità d'Italia and ask for information material on Trieste; you can discover the town on foot or you can use the convenient HopTour bus service to discover the city's places of interest and attractions. Audio guides synchronised with the route will provide you with information and curiosities. The tour starts from the Rive, at the Molo Audace, in front of Piazza Unità, and after reaching the San Giusto hill it reaches the wonderful Miramare Castle and Park. Discounts for FVG Card holders.

GRADO - LIGNANO SABBIADORO

From 01^st May to 29^th September 2024, the ferry link that connects the two main seaside towns in Friuli Venezia Giulia returns, a journey between sea and land particularly suitable for lovers of two wheels, to cycle along cycle routes surrounded by nature, among castles and seaside hamlets. Once in Lignano, if you are on a bicycle, you can follow one of our bicycle itineraries: ITINERARIO URBANO DI LIGNANO SABBIADORO; ITINERARIO LIGNANO SABBIADORO - BIBIONE; ITINERARIO BOAT, BIKE AND TRAIN: LIGNANO - LATISANA. Or you can go by bike to Marano lagunare, take the boat to Lignano Sabbiadoro (9.00 a.m. / 11.00 a.m. / 2.00 p.m.) and at 4.45 p.m. return by boat to Grado ITINERARIO BIKE and BOAT: GRADO-MARANO-LIGNANO. GRADO - AQUILEIA 

From 1^st May to 29^th September 2024, from Tuesday to Sunday, the maritime line Aquileia - Grado offers a boat excursion in the Grado Lagoon, a magical place rich in luxuriant vegetation, immersed in quiet and dotted with casoni, the characteristic old fishermen's dwellings. The boat is equipped with 25 stalls for transporting bicycles (subject to availability) and makes it possible to organise a cycling tour along the Alpe Adria Radweg cycle route and to discover the other cycle routes of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Coast. Discover what you can do in Aquileia HERE.

​Tickets can be purchased on board the motorship and at all Core TPL FVG ticket offices. The single journey ticket can also be purchased from the TPL FVG app. If you have a FVG card you are entitled to a round trip (with a child under 12) to be made on the same day. It is possible to travel with your own bicycle in tow (no more than one bicycle per passenger) within the limits of available space and at the discretion of the captain. It is advisable to enquire in advance about the availability of the service, particularly during peak times and at weekends. To transport a bicycle you must purchase a special ticket; you can purchase tickets on board the motor vessel, and at all Core TPL FVG ticket offices.

To discover the Lagoon you can take a motorboat trip to Porto Buso or go to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the island of Barbana with the Motoscafisti Gradesi regular service. SUP is short for Stand up paddle, a sport suitable for everyone that allows you to enjoy a walk on lakes, rivers or the sea and to train in the water while standing on a board and paddling. Born in Hawaii to transport people and things from one island to another, it landed in Italy a few years ago and in a short time the number of those who practice it has grown exponentially. In Grado you can find SUP courses, rentals and excursions organised by ASD Fairplay and ASD Kite Life Grado:

• SUP Experience on the GIT beach with ASD Kite Life Grado: Every day from 16 May to 12 September, from 09.00 to 19.00, book 1 hour course to learn basic SUP techniques; meet 200m east of the main entrance to the GIT beach, at the pedal boat, SUP, canoe rental. Grado is one of the very few spots where learning to kitesurf is child's play, as waves and currents do not exist and, thanks to the shallow sandy seabed and constant spring winds, we guarantee maximum safety and fun during your learning process. Kite Life FVG is specialised in teaching kitesurfing to children.

Topics covered during teaching activities :

• spot risk assessment
• wind direction;
• prevention of risks on land and at sea;
• equipment set-up;
• kite safety systems ;
• wind window and first flight with simulator (about 45 min)

--> KITE EXPERIENCE: Activity in which the participant  is involved in a theoretical lesson and a fun practical part with the use of a kite. Group course with a maximum of 4 people.

--> FLY KITE: Activity in which the participant is involved in a theoretical part where he/she learns how to assemble the equipment, and a practical part with the use of a simulator (KITE EXPERIENCE). After that there will be the first approach with a traction kite hooked to a trapeze and you will learn how to control the kite in the sky in the wind window. Continuing with the learning phases we will carry out the first sliding of the body in the water and then learn useful techniques for the movement of the body in the water first without and then with the use of the board. Group course with a maximum of 2 people.

DURATION: 5 HOURS

PRICE: 275 € adults, 200 € under 14.

TIME: from 2pm to 5pm (indicative)

--> FULL COURSE KITESURF: Activity in which the participant is involved in a theoretical part of the lesson where he/she learns how to assemble the equipment, and a practical part with the use of a simulator (KITE EXPERIENCE). After that there will be the first approach with a traction kite hooked to a trapeze and you will learn how to control the kite in the sky in the wind window. Continuing with the learning phases we will carry out the first body glide in the water and then learn useful techniques for the movement of your body in the water first without and then with the use of the board. (FLY KITE). At this point we just have to learn how to put the board on our feet and try the first starts with the board and the kite. The fun is assured, the first meters are never forgotten, they remain etched in the memory. Group course with a maximum of 2 people.

--> WINGSURF: Wing surfing is a rapidly growing water sport that combines surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. It is a water sport that involves a windsurfing or paddleboard-like board and an inflatable support wing called a 'wing'. The wing is hand-held and acts like a sail that uses the force of the wind to propel the board through the water. 

BASIC: 3 hours, 200 €

ADVANCE (includes 1 hour of e-foil): 4 hours, 300 € 

--> E-FOIL: The eFoil is a type of electric surfboard that moves through the water thanks to an electric motor and a large hydrodynamic wing that sits underneath the board. The wing creates lift that lifts the board above the water, allowing the user to 'fly' above the surface of the water. Acceleration and control of the board is via a wireless remote control. The eFoil has become increasingly popular in recent years and is considered a fun and innovative way to experience water sport.
