Sea&Taste- Sunset Tasting in the Lagoon of Grado

Departure calendar 2022: July: 01 - 08 - 29; August: 05 - 12 - 19 - 26; September 02
On Friday evenings experience a unique and relaxing atmosphere on board the motorship Nuova Cristina sailing through the Grado Lagoon at sunset, among islands and casoni (typical fishermen's huts) and a typical sea-flavoured dinner dedicated to local blue fish prepared by Captain Paolo's galley staff. Authentic flavours paired with the most famous Friulian wines presented on board directly by the wineries belonging to the FVG Wine and Taste Route. Anecdotes and curiosities about the lagoon will be recounted by a local guide, present throughout the tour.
General program:
- 06.15 p.m.meeting of participants with the Trave One staff at the Mandracchio Port of Grado and boarding on the Motonave Nuova Cristina
- 06.30 – 09.30 p.m.navigation and panoramic tour of the Lagoon of Grado with typical fish dinner. Dinner includes: Tartina with sardine fillets with cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. Sarde in Savor, breaded and fried sardines with tartar sauce. Baked sardines Beccafico. Short pasta with sardines. Grappa with Santonego.
- 09.30 p.m. ca. expected return to the port of Grado

Any allergies, intolerances and special requests must be communicated at the time of booking.
In case of rain: the planning of excursions and tours may be modified, postponed or cancelled in the event of a lack of an adequate level of security or due to adverse weather conditions and/or the passing of urgent national, regional or municipal ordinances prohibiting the performance of part or all of the booked activities. We will refund the fees paid or, on request, retain them for a new Travel One departure/activity. Updates and changes will be promptly communicated to customers via instant messaging, social channels and the Travel One website.
Must be booked by 12 noon on Thursday afternoon.
Please arrive in good physical and mental condition, with appropriate clothing and equipment for the tour. If you have any doubts, check with the organisation before the day of the hike.
The use of masks and provisions for the prevention of Covid-19 refer to current legislation (in Italian).

Keeping fit is important and helps you feel good about yourself. Even on holiday, when time can be used as we like, we can find the ideal space where we can exercise and keep fit.
At the Terme Marine Palagym Wellness Island, there is a weight room equipped for all types of training. Activities are supervised by certified instructors to ensure professionalism and competence in identifying and achieving goals. The instructors are also qualified to conduct PT (personal training) classes, suitable for those who want to get the most out of their session!
The gym is open at the following times:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
- Wednesday and Thursday afternoons: from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Hop on Hop off tour in the Collio

The new transport service offered by APT GORIZIA in collaboration with PROMOTURISMO FVG, to explore Friuli Venezia Giulia from the sea to the Collio, under the banner of mobility combining bus, bicycle and boats. A range of slow itineraries that leave ample freedom to use the service according to one's own tastes and interests, travelling by bus and by bicycle, combining cultural and eno-gastronomic experiences with immersive pedalling in the evocative landscapes of the Collio.
- COLLIO E COLLI: From 01 June to 31 August 2022, every Wednesday and Friday, from Grado to Cividale passing through the Collio by bus and by bicycle among vineyards, places of art, picturesque villages. A service with the characteristics of the classic HOP ON HOP OFF with bicycle transport. The bus will stop at the points of greatest interest and near the cycle paths. Two loops made three times during the course of the day, touching the towns of Cormòns, Vencò, Cividale del Friuli, Spessa, Mossa loc. Preval, Capriva del Friuli. Departure from Grado in coincidence with the arrival of the maritime lines from Trieste and Lignano. Timetable and route HERE. - TASTING THE COLLIO: From 02 June to 01 September 2022, every Thursday; an invisible thread of aromas and flavours. A land of great wineries and skilful chefs, where glasses toast between the rows of world-famous vineyards. Discover the beauty of the area and the rich food and wine offerings along the FVG Wine and Taste Route. A route inspired by food and wine, which from Grado leads tourists through Collio, touching on Capriva del Friuli, Cormòns, Corona (Mariano del Friuli) and San Floriano del Collio. Departure from Grado coinciding with the arrival of the maritime lines from Trieste and Lignano. Timetable and route HERE. To use the service, online booking is required on the day before the trip.
Bicycle transport is always included in the ticket price. The proposed services do NOT include tickets for visits to museums, exhibitions, monuments, bicycle hire and tastings.

Courses and activities at the thermal pool

At the thermal pool we regularly hold group courses in AquaMotricity and AcquaFitness; you can also take part in the following activities:
- Acqua FIT, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 08.30 to 09.30; postural training in sea water heated to 31.5° for muscle strengthening and joint reinforcement.
- Acqua HIIT, Tuesdays and Fridays from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm; performance training in water based on rapid sequences, aimed at strengthening muscles and developing special coordination skills.
- Acqua GYM, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 08.30 to 09.30; a muscular fitness session suitable for those who want to have fun training to the rhythm of music.

What did the most popular seaside resort of the Monarchy look like? Where did tourists stay and how did they spend their holidays in Grado at the end of the 19th century? On the occasion of "130 years of Grado", this exhibition wants to retrace the first years of tourism on the "Island of the Sun" (about 1892-1914).

Every Friday from 20 th May to 16 September come and discover an unusual walking tour through the symbolic places of the modern and recent Grado, a sign of the tourist development that took place at the end of the nineteenth century/early twentieth century. Along the way you will also meet the silhouettes of several significant characters in the history of Grado, protagonists of these 130 years.
From 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in May, June and September; from 9 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. in July and August.

Special evening openings of the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia

From 1 July 2022 and until 26 August 2022 the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia will be open every Friday evening with free admission.
Every Friday the Museum will be open non-stop from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with last admission and ticket office closing at 9.30 p.m.
From 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. admission will be free for all visitors: a sort of HAPPY FRIDAY to spend the warm summer evenings in a magical place, surrounded by history and beauty.

On the brightest nights of the year, the "Calici di Stelle" event returns. The event is dedicated to the fragrances and perfumes of the region FVG, and will take tourists and wine lovers on an exciting journey to discover food and wine delicacies.
The event, organised by Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG together with the Municipality of Grado and Pro Loco Grado, returns this year to Grado on the spectacular Diga Nazario Sauro and in the adjacent Palatucci Gardens, on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 August, from 8.00 p.m. to midnight, to discover pleasant combinations of local flavours, culture and art and to taste the real "stars" of the event... the wines of some of the best regional wineries.
Access to the tastings is subject to purchase, also in advance, of a special kit, consisting of a goblet and shoulder strap (€ 30.00), with which you can freely taste the wines on offer, in combination with 5 gastronomic tastings. Thanks to the collaboration activated with the Consorzio Grado Turismo, all guests of consortium member hotels / aparthotels / campsites / villages and real estate agencies, present on the Isola del Sole during the event, will be able to attend the event at a discounted price. In addition, members of Wine for You, the wine club of the Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG, will be entitled to a discount of € 5.00 reserved for them. Those who have not yet registered, can access the website www.cantineaperte.info, fill in the form in the Sign up/Wine for You section and will receive the discount code!
During the two evenings it will be possible to appreciate the wines of: Bagnarol, Baron Ritter de Záhony, Borgo Conventi, Bucovaz Wines, Ca' Tullio, Cantina Ballaminut, Castello di Rubbia, Conte d'Attimis-Maniago, Conti della Frattina, Elio Vini, Ferrin Paolo, La Magnolia, La Sclusa, Le Due Torri, Marcuzzi Viticola, Parovel Vigneti Oliveti 1898, Pontoni Flavio, Sosol, Torre Rosazza, Vini Brojli, Villa Vasi and Zorzettig. The wines will be presented not only by the producers themselves, but also by wine animator Giovanni Munisso, who will enrich this moment in an engaging manner.
Gastronomic delicacies, prepared expressly for the event by the Pro Loco Grado, will accompany those present on a voyage of discovery of local dishes from the culinary tradition of the lagoon and the territory: cold Mediterranean pasta, crostino with baccalà mantecato, cold cuttlefish salad and arrosto tonnato. On the other hand, at the Il Crudo Itinerante station it will be possible to choose one of these two proposals: breadstick with San Daniele prosciutto crudo or San Daniele prosciutto with frico friabile (gluten free). Also on offer for tasting will be Il Maggese/Novalis bread and Gintonego, the new digestive produced by Riccardo Gaddi, who has combined gin with santonego (sea absinthe) and various lagoon herbs.
There will be no shortage of musical entertainment, real evocative emotions that will accompany the tastings. The energy of music, the harmony of gentle notes and the sweetness of melodic voices will embellish the memories of extraordinary evenings.
